Lampivaara Amethyst Mine is a fascinating destination that locates at the top of Lampivaara Fell in Pyhä-Luosto National Park. The mine is unique and sustainable for no machinery is used to dig for gemstones, nor are they exported as raw material. Hence, it hides many jewels – some up to two billion years old. A lucky visitor may find a unique three coloured shaman stone.
